Troubleshooting & Tips

Here are some troubleshooting ideas and tips. Feel free to contribute and/or clean this up.

  • Have you converted the quads to triangles?
  • Did you make sure you have all objects selected before running the Export script? If you're just seeing a black screen, you likely didn't export your lamp, for example.
  • Did you add your sio2 file to the Resources folder in the Groups & Files window in XCode and if you changed the name of your sio2 file, did you delete the references to the old one and then drag the new one in?
  • Try checking the lamp folder for lamps, object folder for your object, and image folder for your texture(s) to make sure that everything was exported properly.
  • Did you update the relevant code in template.mm to reflect your object's name, scene name, &etc.?
  • If you have duplicate objects and they're named something like Cube.001, Cube.002, etc., then you need to change their names to something else without a period in there (e.g., Cube2, Cube3, etc.).
  • If you're having problems using the Upgrade feature of the export script, then try deleting the old sio2 file & its associated folder and doing a fresh export, instead.
  • Are your textures a power of two (i.e., 256x256)?
